Oriental Cockroach Nymphs

Oriental cockroach nymphs are generally very similar to the adult cockroaches, except for undeveloped wings and genitalia, and they are pale tan colour. They do cause the same problems as an adult oriental cockroaches and will be sneaking around looking for food from the time they leave the egg. Development is generally very slow it may take anywhere from a few months to over a year for oriental cockroach nymphs to reach the stage of becoming an adult cockroach The nymphs are most active from about March through much of the summer. During this period they molt seven to ten times and appear reddish brown to black in colour. The older brown oriental cockroach nymphs are very difficult to distinguish from other species as cockroaches.
