Diseases Carried By Pigeons

Pigeons can be and often are, carriers of a number of diseases transmittable to humans. Diseases including: salmonellosis, psittacosis and pseudo tuberculosis. Pigeon droppings provide an ideal environment for the growth of the organisms causing such diseases as histoplasmosis, aspergillosis, cryptococcis and listeriosis.
