Dead Rats

Following a rat treatment you can sometimes expect to find the odd dead rat in your garden or under your kitchen units etc. This is not always the case however as rats most commonly die inside their burrows and hiding places. Rats also die naturaly from old age, once again they do tend to die in their burrows. Then of course rats also have predators that will actively seek out and kill rats. If you find a dead rat, it is strongly advised to get rid of the corpse as the dead rat will attract blow flies which could infest your property. If the rats have died from rodenticides poisoning then they need to be disposed of in a way that will not allow other animals to come into contact with the dead rats, as this could lead to secondary poisoning if they are eaten by another animal.
