Clothes Moth Eggs

Clothes moths eggs are tiny,at just 0.1 mm in size. Because of this they are very hard to find and identify correctly with the naked eye. A female clothes moth will lay several hundred eggs in her lifetime. The eggs are attached to a piece of clothing, carpets and other suitable surfaces with a glue like substance which makes the eggs very hard to just remove. Instead it is recommended that a pest control treatment is used that will kill the eggs and stopping an infestation getting out of hand and your wardrobe having to be renewed. The photo above shows what a lot of people often mistake for moth eggs, however these are not eggs. These are in fact clothes moth droppings (poo), which is eaten, digested and excreted wool. These droppings can be virtually any colour, depending on the colour of the wool the clothes moth larvae are feeding on.
